Cooperative Learning ~ Structuring Group Roles

Establishing Team Expectations

Having teams establish acceptable group behavior expectations allow group members to discuss individual, pair and small group expectations, contributions and strategies for solving problems.
On a form, groups can list the behaviors they determine as desirable. This sheet can then be used for self, peer and group evaluation on a daily, activity or project basis.

Tips :

1. Revise group rules as students gain experience with cooperative learning
2. Have groups brainstorm strategies for specific problems and evaluate as a class the effectiveness of the different ideas.
