Graphic Organizers

"Education is hanging around until you've caught on." - Robert Frost

How do I evaluate a student's graphic organizer?

In a differentiated class there are many exciting things going on all at once. So much that it can become overwhelming to assess everything. Graphic organizers can be evaluated using quick and easy methods:

Assess for Completion.

Use a Rating Scale.

Check for readiness to move on to more Advanced Organizers.

Have students reflect in Learning Logs or journals.

Use it as an opportunity to determine students understanding of a topic.

Use it to help develop a plan for future learning.

How do I do it? What does it look like? How do I assess? How can I learn more? What is it?
