TRACE

Dear Catholic Educators,

My name is Gilbert Chevrier, and I consider it both a privilege and responsibility to serve as the President of TRACE, the Special Subject Council of the STF for the Teachers of Religion and Christian Ethics. On behalf of my fellow TRACE Executive members, I am encouraging you to seriously consider becoming a member of our Special Subject Council.

Membership in TRACE. provides two main benefits, the first being the annual TRACE conference. During our 25 year existence, TRACE conferences have provided members with the opportunity to listen to many exceptional keynote speakers, to take part in a wide variety of practical and thought provoking breakout sessions, to share their experience and expertise with fellow educators, and to develop relationships with others in our Saskatchewan Catholic educational community. As a result, TRACE conferences have provided professional faith development experiences, as well as a forum through which to create valuable networks of support.

The second benefit of membership is the TRACE newsletter. This publication features a wide variety of useful resources, activities, announcements of upcoming events, etc. As many of these activities and resources are submitted by creative and accomplished teachers of Religion and Christian Ethics, you can count on finding practical ideas that can be used with your own students.

Along with these benefits, membership in TRACE provides you with the opportunity to deepen your involvement in our common vocation as Catholic educators. As teachers of Religion and Christian Ethics, we are challenged to do all we can to further develop our ability to help children and youth learn about our faith as expressed in God's holy Word and in the living tradition of our Catholic Church. TRACE provides a valuable forum through which our common catechetical mission is affirmed and encouraged.
As dedicated Catholic educators, we have a serious obligation to share of our time, creativity and resources in support of this mission. Membership and involvement in TRACE is one way in which you can affirm your commitment to Catholic education.

You will find a copy of the TRACE Membership form on the following page. We encourage you to complete and mail this form at your earliest convenience.

The TRACE Executive welcomes any questions, comments or suggestions you may have regarding our Special Subject Council. Please forward any communication to me via email at g.chevrier@nwcsd.ca

May God bless you and yours with peace and joy.

Yours in Christ,
Gilbert Chevrier
