Task One: Breaking it Down into Parts
Reviewing the different parts of the short story(.doc) or (.rtf) is important before reading a story in class.
 Although students should have been using these terms in ELA classes in the past, giving them a handout of terms will provide students with a reference point when they need one.

After you have reviewed these terms with your class, read a story with the students. Have students apply their understanding of the terms by identifying all of the parts of the short story. |
