Introduction to History 30

History 30 is one of the three Canadian Studies resources found on Central iSchool. It is organized in a chronological fashion, but there are also a number of important concepts that are used throughout the resource, namely four key relationships:

• people and the land,
• members of society with other members
• a society with other societies,
• societies with the decision-makers of society.

This is a resource for teachers and students of History 30, containing activities to support the five units of the resource. There is an activity to support each of the topics identified as "core" in the Saskatchewan Learning Curriculum Guide for History 30. In addition, in the teacher's area for each activity, there are web-based lesson plans which could act as extensions or adaptations for a particular topic.

Although there are Web sites indicated to support most of the activities and assignments, it is assumed that students using this resource will have access to atlases (including an historical atlas, if possible) as well as a library.
