Applying Management Strategies to Complete a Project

During the following process, students are to maintain a regular work log, as well as all necessary work plans and schedules. They should also periodically refer to the performance appraisal previously developed.

Steps to follow

1 - Determine a clear idea of what the final product will be

2 - Develop a plan of action

3 - Determine and access required resources

4 - Carry out the plan

5 - Evaluate the final product


Suggestions for Project Topics

  • School Yearbook or selected sections of the yearbook
  • School newsletter
  • Community phone and email directory
  • Cookbook (collection of recipes from grade level or entire school)

Additional Topics for Extended or Outreach Projects

Cultural Awareness Project Summary: visit a First Nations School and Community - a reserve, a northern community or a school and community within a larger city centre such as Saskatoon or Regina.

Sustainability Project Summary: develop a sustainability project for the school or community, such as a composting project, or work with organizations in the community to increase the effectiveness of existing programs.
