"WHO WANTS TO BE A MATHEMATICIAN"

Welcome to Who Wants To Be a Mathematician. This is a game that a colleague and I developed using the idea of Who Wants To Be a Millionare. We started with math9 and have extended it to other classes.
1. To play you will need to print the lifeline sheet which explains the bonus marks. Once you have printed this you will need to make an overhead.
2.

You will then need to print the entrance sheets. There are four different sets of entrance questions. Make an overhead of these sheets. Put the overhead up and cover the questions leaving the explanation showing. Have the students write down the numbers 1 through 5 on a piece of paper. They don't need to copy the questions. Once they have done the questions they can bring their answers to the front. When they bring their sheets to the front, tell them how many they have wrong. If they have some wrong they must go back to their desk to correct their answers before coming back up.

3. The next thing you need is the game sheets. There are four sheets. In a one hour class this is usually lots. Print off the sheets and make overheads of them.
