What is Leadership?
- Leadership is about learning together and
constructing meaning and knowledge collectively and collaboratively
(Lambert, 1998, page 5).
- Leadership after all is a set of skills.
And any skills can be strengthened, honed, and enhanced
if we have the proper motivation and desire, along with
practice and feedback, models, and coaching (Kouzes &
Posner, 1995, page 323).
- When it comes to building leadership that
lasts, motivation and how a person feels about learning
matters immensely (Goleman, 2002, page 99).
- School leadership is an intellectual, moral,
and craft practice (Senge, 2000, page 317).
