BUILDING A COMMUNITY
OF LEARNERS
| The biggest focus
of administrators in schools is that of building a community
of learners. It is our raison d'être. Our job
is to create and enhance a culture that affirms and fosters
the value and importance of learning. In this way administrators
can create and establish a culture where the joy of learning
and the thrill of achieving is the pervasive and underlying
basis for the community of learners. This culture is a
culture of hope where everyone can see and celebrate their
own success including staff that is learning along with their
students. We are, in this culture, all lifelong learners.
It is electric! Such a culture does not just happen; it is
constantly worked on, continually evolving, and it has many
aspects to it. |
