beam - a combination of several rays of light.

beats - periodic changes in sound intensity (loudness) produced when sounds are slightly different frequencies.

beat frequency - the number of beats in a second.

blind spot - a spot at the back of the eye where the optic nerve is located. There is no retina at this point so an image that forms here will not be seen.
