Sources of Light & Illuminance

The swag lamp over your bedroom desk isn't bright enough for you read or work on your physics homework. Do you change the lamp from 2 meters above the desk to 1 meter above the desk (half the distance) or double the strength of the bulb? In order to answer this question you will need to investigate illumination, luminous intensity, and luminous flux. Sometimes the mathematics for these topics can be a little difficult, so examples and practice questions are included.
