Using the Spelling and Grammar
Tool to Check Word Documents

1. On the desktop find your "2004" document and open it by double clicking it.

2. Your word document should open and your last name and first name should be there.

3. Type in kgfoo and then press enter. You should notice that a red underline appears underneath it to point out this spelling error.

4. Click on "Tools" and a menu will appear.

5. Click on "Spelling and Grammar"

6. A window will appear that has suggestions on how to fix the spelling error.

7. Click on the suggested word "igloo" and then click on the "change" button.

8. A window will pop up saying that the spelling and grammar check is complete.

9. Click on "OK."

10. Now you will see that the word is no longer underlined in red as it is correctly spelled.

11. To save these changes in your word document called "2004" all you have to do is click on "File" and then click on "Save."
