MANAGEMENT: Collection Development - Selection of Resources

Selecting resources is one of the key management roles for professional staff in the library.

Professional competencies that will be demonstrated are:
•  knowledge of provincial and local curriculum
•  knowledge of students
•  assessment of current collection
•  skills to evaluate resources
•  knowledge and familiarity with various types of media, both print and non-print.
