1.6 Personal Journal

The Journal section of your Theatre Log is a reflection of what you have learned during the course. Questions, ideas, sketches and thoughts are recorded in a journal as well as a description of all of the tasks completed in class. This journal helps in the evaluation of your progress during the class. It is also a great reference for those times when ideas would otherwise be forgotten.

Many successful individuals keep journals to help them in their work each day. Keep one section of Your Theatre Log open for your Personal Journal. Be sure to record the date each time you make an entry in the journal. It is not necessary to write something everyday. As you become more and more used to expressing yourself in writing and skeches, you may find your journal to be increasingly complete.

Remember that your instructor will want to evaluate your progress in Journal Writing. Stay subject specific.
