3.2 Lighting Control Systems
The Lighting Console controls the way the stage is lit. It is a system which communicates with the dimmers in your lighting system. The dimmer packs control the amount of power sent to each circuit in the lighting system. The lower the power level, the less bright the light will be.
The lighting console itself does not have wiring robust enough to handle the amount of electricity required to power the lighting instruments. It is a means of controlling the dimmers and comes in two flavours: analog or digital.
