4.4 Stage Video

The use of video taping during rehearsal is valuable in providing direct feedback to the actors and the director. Video may also be taken to capture the final production. You must understand the rights you have with the script you are using for a play before beginning to video tape. Copyright law usually does not allow you to make a video tape of a performance for resale or distribution unless you are approved to do so. Video Camera

Video can be used to help actors off stage to get ready and make their cues on time. Having televisions set up in the dressing rooms with the live feed from the stage is very effective.
