6.1 Character Costume Design

Choose clothing which suits the character. Not only do you have to cloth each actor, there must be some kind of continuity within the entire wardrobe to make costuming plausible. Research is the key to finding great looks for your actors. Look at books or web sites with pictures from he time period of the play.

Colour will also play an important role in your stage production. Dull, muted colours will give a somber feeling to a character while bright colours will give an air of energy and life.
