6.2 Taking Measurements

Using a tailors tape measure, take the measurements of a willing classmate. This information is used when renting, purchasing or fabricating a costume.
Measuring
Use the Female Fitting Form or Male Fitting Form to record the measurements of a volunteer. This could be of great service to the drama department. Actors could have a file which would be referenced for future productions. Working with other departments is a rewarding way of creating a sharing theatre community.
The costuming department will often take a few people to collect the costumes needed for a show. Taking the entire cast would create chaos so using a binder full of actor profiles is much more desirable.
