7.2 Organizing the Kit

Upon your supervisor's approval, you were able to purchase all the supplies you needed according to your planning and research. Now that you have all your materials, you must organize them into a kit.

A good personal kit could be housed in a fishing tackle box or like container. Often times, basic kits can be purchased with all you need from a theatrical supply company. Larger Make-up kits exist, it all depends on the amount of money you have to spend.

To be sure, a well organized kit will save you time and money in the long run. Keep a copy of the current inventory for your kit taped inside the lid. This will make it easier for your next order or to keep track of when make-up materials are becoming low.

Besides the basic make-up materials, you should include the following miscellaneous items in your kit; headbands, comb, brush, old T-shirt, washcloths and towel for make-up removal, scissors and facial soap.
