To plan your hair style, you should first sketch your ideas out on a planning document. First you will need to make a planning document for designing hair. You can base your document on the Character Make-up Planning Schedule, Adapting the document for use with hair styling. Use pencil or pencil crayon to sketch your design. Note if you are doing the style on a model or on a wig. You will need to find a patient college for the next step of this activity so that you can practice your hair style. Also make a note of any special materials you will need for your hair design. Your school may have access to wigs. During shows that run for more than one performance, a well styled and set wig is a time saver during daily make-up. You may also design and make a hair piece, such as a moustache. There are many stage make-up books which will explain the process in detail. |
