9.6 Working a Show

What would be the use of learning all of these valuable technical skills without having the opportunity to put your knowledge and creativity to work during a production? The goal of this portion of the course is to give you the opportunity to work as a member of a crew during a stage production.

The following are a few things to be considered during a production:

  • Theatre is a collaborative environment.
  • Communication is paramount.
  • Great work requires training and practice.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and flexibility are an everyday need.
  • You must be able to trouble-shoot a variety of situations.
  • Responsibilities extend to pre- and post-production.
